Ms. Alexis F. Thomas

Audit Committee Chair

Ms. Thomas is President and Chief Executive Officer of Thomas Associates Inc. (TAI), a defense contracting firm specializing in doctrine development, training solutions, engineering services, acquisition and logistics support, maritime security operations, human systems integration analysis, conference and seminar facilitation, technical documentation and multimedia design/production.

Ms. Thomas has cumulative management experience totaling more than 32 years, 22 of which have been in direct support of the U.S. military. Thomas Associates Inc. currently employs 90 people in six locations (Stevensville, Maryland; Quantico, Virginia; Norfolk, Virginia; San Diego, California; Panama City, Florida and Washington, D.C.) Since 1988, Thomas Associates Inc. has written over 50,000 pages of technical documentation and doctrine for DoD, Federal, state and local governments and private industry.

In addition to being Development Committee Chair and a Trustee for the Marine Corps University Foundation, Ms. Thomas is also a member of the Fundraising Committee and Board of Directors for the Channel Marker Foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Studies, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Maryland University College and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

She enjoys gardening, piano, swimming and fundraising. Ms. Thomas resides in Queenstown, Maryland.
