Mr. William J. (Bill) Scott 
Bill Scott was born in Alexandria, Virginia and grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. Bill is currently a Managing Director with Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc. (FBR) an Investment Banking firm headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. FBR is a publicly held company that trades on the New York Stock Exchange. FBR's business is focused in eight industry sectors; financial institutions, real estate, insurance, diversified industrials, technology, media and telecommunications, healthcare, and consumer. He received a B.A. in History from Franklin and Marshall College in 1987. Following graduation, Bill entered Officer Candidate School and served on active duty from 1987 to December of 1991 as an artillery officer in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Captain. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune with the 10th Marines, and he served with the 3rd Battalion, 10th Marines during the First Gulf War.
Bill currently serves as a Trustee on the Board at Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland. He is Chairman of the Endowment Committee for the School.
Bill resides in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife, Marcie, and their 3 daughters, Maggie, Greta, and Tory. |
